Serving up 1958 New York to fans of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.”
“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” has transported viewers from present day to 1958 New York City. And in December 2018, fans were able to become fully immersed in 1958 New York—because we reopened The Carnegie Deli as a pop-up replica restaurant in Lower Manhattan.
The star menu item? “The Maisel”: two slices of rye packed with world-famous Carnegie Deli pastrami, salami, coleslaw and secret sauce. I think it was a success, because Vogue, Buzzfeed, Forbes, Eater and Time Out New York all had nice things to say.
